So you have made the decision to buy whiteboard or magnetic or projector wallpaper. Congratulations. That’s a good investment in updating your work or learning space into a modern and collaborative environment, that can have an instant effect without blowing budgets.
Next, consider how you might use this newly transformed space.
Lots of Users ?
If you employ several people in your organisation, have lots of students in your class, or have multiple tenants in your co-working space, consider transforming an entire wall or room with your whiteboard, magnetic or projector wallpaper.
This allows different people to work in teams in the same area. Or people from the same group can work in smaller breakout teams. The alternative is for people to go off to different parts of the building and search for suitable areas where they can work. With your entire wall or room covered with a functional wallpaper, everyone can stay in the same space, yet work independently.
Less Users ?
If you have less users, we recommend hanging your functional wallcovering horizontally, at eye level, approximately one metre from the ground. Why ? this means the wallpaper – in other words, the working part of the wall – is at eye level for most people.
This reduces cost for you as you don’t need a large quantity of wallpaper and allows you to retain the original design or colour of the walls which will be on show above and below the wallcovering.
What Height Are Your Users ?
If you need a functional wall in your classroom where pupils and students of different ages and therefore different heights need to use the wall, you may need to cover the entire wall with the wallcovering.
This allows pupils of any height to work on the walls. We get lots of feedback from teachers that children really enjoy working on walls. In addition to practising their writing skills (dry erase wallcovering), they learn to work in groups, brainstorm or simply doodle, and most of all, have fun when learning.
With magnetic wallpaper, allow your pupils to use walls for maps in geography classes, or diagrams for maths and science, or even human skeletons for biology classes. Let students work alone or in groups by interacting with the magnetic wall.
